Hello! Please SAVE THE DATE of Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. to join the City of Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department for the groundbreaking of Rassekh Park (Phase 1) and the Skatepark.
The location of the ceremony will be at the site. Additional details on parking and shuttle services will be in an email closer to the date. There is limited parking, and shuttle services must be utilized from Hazelia Park.
Because this is a working construction site, we request attendees wear long pants and close-toed shoes that are comfortable for navigating the dirt.
The ceremony will have a short program with representatives from the City and various partners, such as contractors, skatepark architects, etc.
Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation recognizes the many voices and community interest groups who had input into Rassekh Park’s design, including the support from the City Council to “invest in Lake Oswego’s high-quality parks, natural areas, and recreational amenities” by developing a funding strategy for Rassekh Park and constructing Phase 1, which includes the skatepark.
We are thrilled this park is coming to fruition and would love to have you a part of the exciting groundbreaking.
We will have ADA-accessible parking at the site and can make appropriate accommodations for access near the event. Please see the information below.
If you have any questions and would like ADA parking accommodations, please contact Robin Krakauer at rkrakauer@lakeoswego.city or by calling 503-534-5422.
More info to come!
