LAKE OSWEGO – On Thursday, October 26, 2023, between 11:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M., Lake Oswego officers conducted a targeted traffic enforcement mission in numerous residential areas in an effort to remind drivers to slow down, stay off their cell phones, and obey traffic control devices.
Officers focused on specific intersections about which we have received complaints from impacted neighborhoods or are known to be problem locations. They spent time in the Foothills, First Addition, Westlake, Westridge, Lake Grove, and Palisades neighborhoods.
During this 3-hour mission, officers stopped 28 vehicles, mostly for disobeying traffic control devices and using an electronic device while operating a vehicle. A total of 12 citations and 26 warnings were issued to drivers.
Please remember to slow down, stop completely at stop signs, and stay off your phone while driving to help keep everyone safe!
