šŸ†šŸ¾ Palisades Pet of the Month: Albert Lawrence Arthur Peterson-Melissa! šŸ¾šŸ†

Published April 3, 2025

Hello Neighbors, dog lovers of Palisades—brace yourselves for this month’s four-legged star, the one and only Albert Lawrence Arthur Peterson-Melissa! šŸŽ‰šŸ¶

Or, as his friends (and adoring fans) know him: Al, Alba-Cadalbra, Alberto Lorenzo, Big Al, Kooikerhondje, Sir Poops-a-lot—too many nicknames? Never!

Albert’s adoption story was pure fate. One morning, his humans, Rachel and her partner, Tate, were unknowingly browsing Oregon Dog Rescue at the exact same time in different rooms. When Rachel excitedly called out, ā€œYou have to see this dog!ā€ the answer was, ā€œYou mean this one?ā€ It was meant to be! That very day, Albert found himself in the car, headed to his forever home. šŸš—šŸ’Ø

Now, what breed is Albert? Well, that’s a mystery! Some say he’s got the charm of a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, the history of a Dutch Kooikerhondje, and the golden glow of a mini retriever. Whatever the mix, one thing’s for sure – he’s 100% lovable. šŸ’›

Albert is a cuddle champion, always down for some serious snuggle sessions on the couch. But don’t be fooled—this pup has a daredevil streak! His favorite place to perch? Not the couch, but the top of the couch cushions—the very top. He’s also been spotted on the kitchen island, counters, and dining table (we’re sensing a theme here). One of his greatest heists? A perfectly baked sweet potato left to cool—big mistake, humans. šŸ˜†

When he’s not claiming the highest ground, Albert is either zooming around the backyard or napping in the goofiest positions imaginable—a true balance of energy and relaxation. And let’s not forget his most notorious moment: The Great Smoothie Scandal. One innocent morning, Albert seized the opportunity to sneak a sip while his human momentarily stepped outside. But as soon as the door opened—busted! The guilty look (and the smoothie-covered lips) said it all. šŸ“šŸ„¤

Whether he’s scaling new heights, pulling off daring snack raids, or curling up for couch cuddles, Albert is a true Palisades legend!

šŸ…šŸ• Give it up for Albert, our Palisades Pet of the Month! šŸ•šŸ…
