Meet the Candidates: Lena, Neelam, and Katherine Unveil Their Vision for Lake Oswego Schools – Thursday, May 8, 7:00–7:30 p.m.
Want to improve the future of Lake Oswego schools? Start by hearing from the people who will help lead it.
Join us Thursday, May 8, from 7:00–7:30 p.m. as school board candidates Lena Elbakshish (Position 2), Neelam Gupta (Position 2), and Katherine Lupton (Position 4) share their vision, priorities and personal motivations ahead of the May 20, 2025 special election.
We’re kicking off the event by giving these candidates the floor—so you can hear directly from them for 30 minutes. If you have questions for the candidates, please email them to chairperson@palisadesneighborhood.org.
Why does this matter?
The Lake Oswego School Board is more than a governing body—it’s the voice of the community in our schools, and there are only five volunteer directors. Directors:
- Set the direction and policies for our district
- Approve and manage the multi-million-dollar budget
- Represent 7,000 students, 850 staff, and every family in our community
Your vote shapes who is responsible for our children’s academic growth. Don’t miss this chance to get informed and engaged! You vote for each school board position which is a four-year term.
