🐾 Palisades Pet of the Month: Fuzzy Hsu! 🐾

Published July 30, 2025

Meet Fuzzy Hsu—also known to his adoring fans as Fuzz or Fuzzball—a nearly 10-year-old husky with a flair for drama, a deep love of snow, and the sass of a true Lake Oswego legend.

Fuzzy’s story begins in Taiwan, where his future family spotted him in a pet shop window. One look at that irresistibly fuzzy face, and it was game over—they knew he was coming home with them.

Though he’s firmly rooted in Lake Oswego life now, Fuzzy still marches to the beat of his own (very vocal) drum. Like many huskies, he has developed a rich and expressive ā€œbow-wow languageā€ that he uses liberally—especially if breakfast or dinner is even a minute late. Sassy? Absolutely. Starving? Probably not. But don’t tell him that.

His favorite toy is a squeaky plastic chicken that makes the most ridiculous sound you’ve ever heard—naturally, he loves it. Bedrooms are officially off-limits for Fuzzy, but that didn’t stop him from sneaking in and curling up under his new human sister’s crib the day she came home. (Soft spot? Check.)

Despite his love of kibble, nothing compares to the sheer joy of snow days. Watching Fuzzy zoom through fresh powder is like seeing a husky live their best life. But don’t let the majestic image fool you—he’s had his share of rebellious moments. Fuzzy has gone on three unsanctioned ā€œadventures,ā€ including one that ended with him hitching a ride in a Lake Oswego police car. (Don’t worry, he’s fine—and yes, we’re all still talking about it.)

Fuzzy Hsu is more than just a pretty face—he’s a beloved member of the Palisades community, a loyal (if occasionally rule-breaking) companion, and an all-around good boy.

Happy almost-10th birthday, Fuzzy! May your chicken šŸ” always squeak, your meals always be on time, and your snow days be endless.
