By now, you’ve probably read lots about the project to replace the old South Shore Fire Station – why it’s necessary, why remodeling isn’t financially feasible, why we might lose the station (and our firefighters) in a major earthquake, and all the other “why’s”.
Yard signs are out.
Mailers are out, more on the way.
Canvassers are canvassing.
Voter guides are on the kitchen table (look for the 9 arguments “in favor”).
Fliers and badges are “a-plenty” at Farmer’s Markets (May 9th and 16th).
Ballots are in hand – your vote now is the most critically important step you can take to ensure we maintain the remarkable first responder service we have here in Palisades.

Bond Measure 3-635 is on the ballot, and polls are open until 8:00 PM on the 19th. Measure 3-635 has strong community support, but unless that support is reflected in votes, it doesn’t count – so please be sure to vote.
The Palisades Neighborhood Association board has unanimously endorsed this project – we encourage you to vote “YES” on bond measure 3-635.
