On July 24th, Palisades Neighborhood Association representatives Nancy Sage, Chris Durkee, and Kirsty Reilly teamed up with Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation’s Kyra Haggart and Ivan Anderholm to present to the State of Oregon Parks Department. They aimed to secure a $1M grant for Rassekh Park Phase II, and the City of Lake Oswego has committed to match funds from the State. Phase II features a playground, picnic shelters, pathways, and more. The City is estimated the total cost for Phase II to be around $2,003,200.
With some adorable young helpers, PNA and LOPR emphasized the need for inclusive playground equipment, especially since Palisades has the most young children of any Lake Oswego neighborhood.
Exciting news arrived this week—our $1M grant has been approved, and construction on Rassekh Park Phase II could begin soon. More information to follow!
This endeavor was an excellent example of how the Palisades Neighborhood Association and the City of Lake Oswego working together on a collaboration towards a common goal for the community. 🎉 ✨ 🥳
