“National Night Out is a nationwide initiative to promote public safety and community partnerships. It’s a night when neighborhoods all across the city and nation come together for barbeques, potlucks, and ice cream socials.“ City of Lake Oswego
This Tuesday night across Palisades – make new friends, renew old friendships, meet new neighbors. There are 6 “National Night Out” parties formally scheduled in Palisades – way to go Palisades!! (Formal registration with the city include requesting a visit by our awesome Fire Dept. and Police Dept.)
These neighborhood gatherings are such a great way for us to stay connected with our neighbors and build strong neighborhoods. These connections result in safer communities and more resilient communities. They also better prepare us for emergencies such as ice storms, power outages, fires and earthquakes.
Please stop by the nearest party and meet new friends. Maybe even get your face painted – it’s never too late!
